My Own Miracle

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hands have provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me...

~

I survived!
It was soooo tormenting & frightening.
Was officially the toughest season of my life.

But of course I wasn't left to fight this battle alone.
I am a living testimony of Realness & Faithfulness of God!
This is my own miracle...

Ok now, chin up!
And on to the final round....

Thank You Lord.

growing pains

i've never been good at this - the Rocky Road Ahead.

as much as i hate it.
i think 'control freak' is the right term.

what's the menu?
what's the itinerary?
what's the plan?
is there a plan B?

gah.

i suppose that's why i hate slides
because you can't control, you can't stop.
once you go - you go.

sometimes i wonder;
what ever happened to being young, spontaneous & carefree?

in times like these
i just wanna curl up into a ball forever and ever.

life is not always peaches & cream.
and today, insecurity is bearing it's ugly head.

and insecurity asks :
"Lord, what's for tomorrow?"

and of course He's silent.
but strong.
Strong & Silent.

that's good.
because what is faith if it's not being tested?

You are my mysterious, wonderful, ever faithful One.
and i will wait on You.

Love : Penang

I love how everyone speaks Hokkien.
I love how Batu Ferringhi never sleeps.

I love that don't have to go to that stupid yellow box to get a parking ticket.
I love how you can park almost anywhere!

I love how I can buy a top for RM5!
I love how I can buy 3movies for RM8!

I love how food is abundant & people don't give 2hoots about calories.
I love how it has so many old, happy, wrinkly, absolutely adorable folks.

I love the street names : McAlister Road, Anson Road, Love Lane!
I love the beautiful, old, wooden window panes.

I love how it makes me feel.
Old, charming & beautiful.

Langkawiiiiiiii

We made a family trip to the land of chocs, liquor & ciggs.
There's really nothing much to do, except look at chocs until you get a migraine.
Beer tho, is cheaper than 100plus.

The beach there is terribly disappointing.
Pales in comparison to the other islands I've been to.

I was a little highly strung, since I was the official Holiday Planner.
And there was plenty of bickering involved- which is quite normal.
Haha.
But it was alright, Family Fun for Everyone!

My Grand Finale

I arrive at work.
Park at my usual spot.
I fish out the office keys & press button 1 on the auto gate control.

Nothing. The gate is still as ever.
I press it again.
And again.
Great. Dead batteries. Of all days.

I try to pry open the gate. Push, pull, kick.
Nothing.

This feels like Tuesday all over again.
I had locked myself out of my car.
It was not pleasant.
Why am I constantly being locked out?

I muck around and wonder what to do.
I really need to use the loo. Really need to go.

Enough Mr Nice Guy.
I'm climbing.

I suddenly remember this Parkour video I watched over Youtube.
Looks simple enough.

Except.
Im wearing a skirt. Of all days!
Not good. Whole world can see Kopitiam.

A few cars pass by.
I wait for the right moment.
Trying not to look too conspicuous.

I slide off my shoes.
Hoist myself up on the ledge.
Did something acrobatic.

In 2 seconds I'm on the other side.
Yahoo!

What a perfect way to start my Last Day on the Job
There's nothing like a little exercise in the morning
=)

p.s : I'm blessed to have had this 4weeks of opportunity... Not a bed of roses, but I've come away a little wiser, a little more confident, a little more sure, a little more in love with the Creator. And isn't that the whole point?
